A rigorous program of testing and development was undertaken to ensure that the Grate/Lock Chock system was a viable alternative to shipping vehicles using chain tie-down securement. The testing also had to show that the system was durable enough to withstand the rugged and extreme conditions that make up the railroad shipping environment.
